New farm food safety assessments have been added to CompWALK.farm. The assessments are interpreted versions of various food safety regulations and certifications, broken up into sections and reworded to be more easily understood.
If your farm has to be compliant with USDA Harmonized Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), or your retailers are asking for more stringent food safety certifications, you may not know where to start. Maybe you have already taken your day-long FSMA Produce Rule Training in order to get your certificate, but don’t know what to do next. All of these food safety assessments have their own requirements to achieve certification or compliance, and the inspections themselves can be confusing, not to mention lengthy.
We have taken the food safety inspections, audits and certifications most commonly associated with farms and included them in the platform. The assessments are interpreted and reworded so you know exactly what the regulation is asking. In addition, we have added digital document templates to be downloaded in Word when there is a document required for that question.
